Small streamers don’t care as much because the most important thing for them is just the exposure and so if someone wants to go to their channel and watch their past broadcasts then great!Īnother thing to keep in mind is that these past broadcasts expire. They do this as an extra incentive for you to sub to their channel if you haven’t already. Luckily, this isn’t common for small streamers and it is usually only the big streamers who require a sub for you to watch their videos. Following is no big deal because it is free, but subscribing means you are going to have to pay. There are a couple things that you need to know if you are searching for past broadcasts of certain streamers.įor one, you may have to follow or even subscribe to a streamer in order to watch their past broadcasts. Click on the one you want to watch and you are all good. Now, scroll down to the “Recent Broadcasts” header and you will see a list of all of that streamers most recent broadcasts or streams.
Then scroll down and click on the “Videos” tab for that channel. To watch past broadcasts or VODS on Twitch, go to the channel for which you want to see the past broadcasts. If this is your situation don’t worry, below I will explain how you can go back and watch past broadcasts of your favorite streamers. If AutoMod doesn’t quite do it for you, there is always Nightbot.You try your hardest to keep up with your favorite streamers, but sometimes life happens and you miss a stream or two. Twitch AutoMod is a capable bot that can help maintain some resemblance of order on your Twitch channel. Use the same method as above, remember to save your settings, and you’re golden. If you see AutoMod blocking words you’re okay with, you can add them here. This section is where you can configure your whitelist. On the same page as Blocked Terms, if you scroll down, you should see Permitted Terms. Be careful using it, so you don’t inadvertently block other words you didn’t intend to stop. Twitch allows unlimited blacklist blocking so that you can configure this to your exact needs.ĪutoMod allows wildcards in the form of ‘*.’ For example, if you use ‘hate*,’ you will block words like ‘hateful’ and ‘hater.’ It is a valuable tool for filtering out a wide array of terms. So if you add a term with a common use word and something you want to ban, the common use word will not be blocked, only the complete term. Choose either “Public” or “Private,” then click “Add” to save the term to your filtered list.ĪutoMod will block the entire term you add rather than individual ones. After typing a phrase or word, a popup appears.Type the word(s) you want to block in the box provided.Log into Twitch, click on your profile icon, then go to “Creator Dashboard -> Settings -> Moderation.”.Note: When setting the AutoMod to “Level 0,” any words you added to the “Blocked Terms” section of Twitch will still function and could also prevent messages from getting sent. Just remember that the higher the level, the more chances of chats not getting through, and the more you need to approve.

“Level 4” adds more hostility restrictions plus increases control over swear words, profanity, and sexual harassment. “Level 3” adds more discrimination control, sexually explicit language, and hostility to the blocked list. “Level 2” removes sexually explicit and hostile language. “Level 1” is slightly more controlling and removes discriminative speech. The five AutoMod levels are numbered from 0-4. Once finished with your AutoMod settings, click “Save” in the bottom-left section to activate your custom configuration.
